Austria

The applicant must submit all necessary documentation through The Embassy of France in Dhaka in order to apply for a Austria Schengen Sticker Visa.Please note, a prior appointment is mandatory to submit your visa applications at the embassy. Appointments are arranged through Online portal link. All the documents and passports must be submitted in person at the embassy.
The applicant will be informed when it comes time to obtain his or her passport once The Embassy of France in Dhaka makes a decision.

**Long-term visa applications of Austria for Bangladeshi citizens are submitted at the Austria Visa Application Centre in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Austria Visa Application Centre requires in-person submission. So, the applicants need to attend the Centre when submitting files and get a long-term Austria visa from Bangladesh.

The Standard Short Term “Tourist Visa” is for those applicants who want to visit Austria for the purpose of Tour / Holidaying / Vacation. The Visitor is only permitted to stay in Austria for the duration of their planned of stay but no more than 90 days. The applicant must enter and exit the Schengen area within that time limit. During their stay in Austria, visitors with a Tourist Visa are not permitted to accept unauthorized employment, attend school, or represent foreign information media.

Basic Eligibility :
Any Bangladeshi Nationals are Eligible to Apply for Austria Tourist Visa (having a valid MRP / E-Passport with at least 6 months validity) subject to provide some required Documents.
Also Applicant should,
• be a genuine visitor
• have enough funds to support his/her stay and leave
Documents Requirements
1 Additional Documents :
For minors below the age of 18,proof of legal parenthood (if applicable) :
*copy of either birth certificate or proof of adoption (if adopted).
*custody decree in case parents are divorced or death certificate of parents (if applicable).
*’Letter of Consent’ from the legal guardian including his/her passport copy legalized by a notary public. (only required in case the legal guardian is not present during the Visa appointment.)
*Invitation letter (if any) :
an original copy of invitation letter from company/organization or friends and family with evidence.
2 Proof of civil status :
*Marriage Certificate – if married (also NIkah Nama both in Bangla & English,for Muslim Marriage in A4 size photocopy)
*Divorce Certificate – (talak nama) if applicable.
*Death certificate – if applicable.
*Birth certificate of children – if applicable.
3 Proof of Occupation and Identiy :
*Office ID Card/Visiting Card
*Company Letter Pad : A letter from your employer on company letterhead, with contact details, stating that a leave of absence has been granted,purpose and duration of the trip, and that you will be returning to your current job (if you are a job holder).
*Salary slips for the last 6 months
*Updated Trade License
*Valid Passport,NID,photo,Birth certificate.
4 Financial Documents :
*personal Bank Statement of last 6 months & Bank Solvency certificate.
*Company Bank Statement of last 6 months & Bank Solvency certificate (if business holder)
*TIN certificate
*Income Tax certificate,Tax Return (ITR)
*Income Tax certificate of Company (in case the applicant is a business holder).
5 If Student :
Visa request letter from the educational institute or student card/evidence of school enrollment
6 Forwarding Letter :
NOC from the applicants company authority on the companys letter head stating the applicants name,designation,passport number,purpose and duration of visa.
**the NOC letter is highly important for you Schengen visa application.(payslip should be included in it).
7 Private visit :
Invitation letter (if any) : an original copy of invitation letter from company/organization or friends and family with evidence.It should include the intended stay.
8 Proof of Accommodation :
Hotel reservation for the whole duration of the intended stay in Austria.
9 Photo Specification :
Passport sized photograph (3.5cm by 4.5cm)
*The photo should be a recent whole face capture with a white background.
*Neutral face expression (No smile & mouth closed)

Please Note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas.

10 Travel Insurance and Medical Insurance :
Insurance must be valid for the whole Schengen area.The Insurance must cover the medical fees,hospitalization and repatriation costs up to 30,000 Euros. The Insurance must fully cover the whole period of stay within the Schengen area.
*the conditions must be stated either on insurance document or on a seperate confirmation letter.
11 Round trip flight itinerary :
Containing the dates and flight numbers specifying entry & exit from Austria.
12 A Cover Letter :
Covering Letter from applicant name, designation, Passport Number, purpose and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip – travel, accommodation, expenses etc. Addressed to – The Visa Officer,Embassy of Austria,Dhaka.
13 Austrian Visa Application Form :
Fill the application form completely with sincerity.Do not forget to sign in at the end after you print the application.
14 Passport :
A valid passport that is original and at least 3/6 months validity is essential. Moreover,
*the passport should not be older than 10years.
*the passport must have at least two blank pages. *copies of your previous Schengen Visas (if applicable)
Note: All previous passports and Visa’s are required (if any).

Visa fees 80 Euros or BDT 8,955 approximately (for adult)
Visa fees 40 Euros or BDT 4,477 approximately (for children)
Visa Processing Fees BDT 5,000

Processing Time

10 to 15 working days approximately.
(The processing time at Embassy depends on the visa categories and proper representation of the visa application to the Visa office).
